Lal Baag Palace in the South Western part of the city of Indore is encircled by a beautiful garden that has
flowers of rare origin. The palace was actually built between 1886 and 1921and had been the house of the great Holkar, named Usha Raje.
The Lal Baag Palace in Indore is one of the exquisite palaces of the Holkar Dynasty. It has a pleasant a pool in front of it with the statue of a mermaid in the middle of it providing the garden with a touch of exquisiteness and splendor.The figure is carved with precision and care.
The rooms of the palace have been renovated to give them the touch of splendor as they have been previously associated with it.
The entire complex measures approximately about 28 acres and it is also bedecked with Italian Marbles that make the columns all the more glamorous, grand chandeliers, and also the rich Persian carpets.
The carpets endow the arena with a royal look that is integrally associated with the Palace. Moreover the ceiling has flying nymphs inscribed giving the impression of them flying overhead. Belgium stained Glass Windows enables the Palace to reflect the royalty again.
There are also the Italian Style paintings on the wall, and it seems that Italy had been the prime influence on the building of the palace. The palace consists of the most beautiful Rose Garden of the World.
